Donation & Eco-Recycling Included

We don't charge extra to sort, haul or drop off gently used items at local Twin Cities charities. Good items get a second home, metal and electronics get recycled, and you pay the same volume price.

Real drop-off

Dropped off locally

Our truck at a Salvation Army Family Store & Donation Center. Usable furniture and household goods from your job get dropped off here and at other local charities.

30+ truckloads donated, recycled or composted instead of landfilled so far.

Where your stuff goes

  1. Donate

Clean, usable furniture, working appliances, tools and household goods go to local Twin Cities charities and reuse centers first.

  2. Recycle

Metal, appliances, electronics and TVs, cardboard and clean wood go to recyclers. Refrigerants are recovered properly.

  3. Compost

Yard waste, brush and branches go to compost and yard-waste sites. Minnesota keeps them out of the trash.

  4. Landfill last

Only what's truly finished goes to the landfill, and we keep that pile as small as we can.

Charities have strict rules on condition: no stains, tears, pet hair or broken frames. If they decline something, we recycle it or dispose of it properly, still at your quoted price. Charity names show where items go and don't mean these organizations endorse MEGAJUNK.

Donation Questions

Do you charge extra to donate my stuff?

No. Sorting, hauling and dropping usable items at local charities is part of every job. You pay the same volume price.

Will everything be donated?

Not always. Charities have strict rules on condition: no stains, tears, pet hair or broken frames. If they decline something, we recycle it or dispose of it properly, still at your quoted price.

Do I get a donation receipt?

We can't promise one. Charities don't always give receipts for drop-offs, so plan on not having one.

What happens to electronics?

Minnesota keeps most electronics out of the trash, so TVs, monitors and computers go to e-waste recyclers. Please wipe or remove your personal data first.
